All Lyon Bleu International students can take part in the weekly program of activities, which have been selected and organized :

Visits to Lyon!

Visit Presqu'ile

Welcome visit for new Lyon Bleu students. Walking tour of downtown Lyon (Presqu’ile). Discover Lyon’s main squares and monuments and get your bearings in the city.

Departure from Lyon Bleu.

Tour of old Lyon

Discover Vieux Lyon, the medieval and Renaissance quarter. Quartiers Saint Georges, Saint Jean, Saint Paul, Passerelle Saint Vincent.

Departure from Place Bellecour. Arrival at the Fresque des Lyonnais
Duration: 1h30 – 5€.

Croix Rousse visit

Discover the village district of Croix-Rousse, Quartier Hénon and the Mur des Canuts, the Maison des Canuts, Place de la Croix Rousse, and the slopes of the hill via the traboules.

Depart Lyon Bleu – arrive Place des Terreaux.

Brotteaux Tête d'or tour

Parc de la Tête d’Or and Brotteaux district.

Visit Hôtel Dieu

Visit of the Presqu’ile and the Hôtel Dieu. Place de l’Opéra, Hôtel de Ville, the Lumière brothers’ first movie theater, the Palais de la Bourse, the Rhône and Saône frescoes, Place de l’Hôpital and Hôtel Dieu.

Start Place Maréchal Lyautey in front of the fountain – finish Rue de la Barre

Festival of Lights

Lyon is known as the city of lights. An incredible show of international renown, where light takes center stage throughout the city. A major event and an unforgettable visit!

The museums

Aquarium de Lyon

Its 47 aquariums and 1,000,000 liters of water are home to over 300 aquatic species, each more fascinating than the last. The site’s star attraction is undoubtedly its gigantic shark pit, where numerous species of sharks and rays live in harmony.

Musée des Canuts

The Maison des Canuts is a museum located on Lyon’s Croix-Rousse hill. It features collections relating to the Canuts, in particular looms that are still in operation and used during tours.

Museum of Fine Arts

Painting, sculpture, antiquities, ancient coins, graphic arts, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon lets you discover the history of the arts from antiquity to the present day.

Musée d'art contemporain macLYON

The museum regularly renews its temporary exhibitions. They can be group or monographic exhibitions, featuring works from the collection or on loan. The museum is closed between two exhibition periods. Check the program before you visit!

Museum of Resistance and Deportation

Symbolically housed in the former Gestapo headquarters where Klaus Barbie carried out his crimes, the CHRD is a powerful, symbolic place at the service of History and Remembrance. The museum invites visitors to revisit one of the darkest periods in our history.

Printing Museum

Dynamic museum on the history of printing and graphic communications. Permanent collection and numerous events.

Discover the Etats Unis district, built by Lyon architect Tony Garnier, and the painted walls of this astonishing neighborhood.

Cinema & miniature museum

In the heart of Vieux Lyon, a stone’s throw from Cathédrale Saint-Jean and at the foot of the Basilique de Fourvière, this museum brings together the magic of cinema special effects and the art of miniatures.

Musée des Arts de la Marionnette – Gadagne

In the town of Guignol, in the Musées Gadagne building, the Musée des Arts de la Marionnette presents a world where spectacle, illusion and emotion come together. Interactive and participative, get ready to leave your role as spectator and take on the role of puppeteer for the duration of a visit.

LUGDUNUM-Musée & théâtres romains

An archaeological site within the Unesco-listed perimeter, with one of the richest archaeological collections in France. The museum and theaters are located on the slopes of the Fourvière hill, on the very site where the Roman city of Lugdunum was founded in 43 BC.

Musée gallo romain de Vienne

In Saint-Romain-en-Gal, near Vienne and 30 minutes from Lyon, one of the largest complexes dedicated to Gallo-Roman civilization. The seven-hectare archaeological site features the remains of Vienna’s wealthy residential quarter, then a “Roman colony”.

Wine tasting

Every week, our wine merchant Didier will introduce you to a selection of wines designed to show you the wealth of French vineyards and wine-making expertise. A different discovery every week.

Moment Cuisine chez Janine

Every week Janine, your hostess and cook, will introduce you to a new menu. Starters, main courses, cheeses and desserts, not forgetting wine, you can enjoy delicious recipes and practice your French thanks to Janine’s presentations and explanations. Janine welcomes you to her home, where you can admire an exceptional view of Lyon, for a convivial moment in the French style.
Duration: 3h – 25€.

Chef's workshop

Have fun cooking lunch with a real chef. Gourmet lunch break, every day from 17 euros.
30 minutes preparation. 30 minutes tasting.

Violette and Berlingot Flash Tasting

Treat yourself to some sweet specialities, sweets and confectionery from the boutique Violette et Berlingot.
Flash tasting 5€.

Halles Paul Bocuse and Machon

Gourmet stroll through Les Halles Paul Bocuse. Lyon’s covered specialty market. Smells, colors, warm atmosphere. The tour ends with a traditional Lyon aperitif, the Mâchon.
