How to subscribe to Lyon Bleu

1. Carefullyread the rules and regulations and the training contract linked to registration.
2. Fill in and send the registration form indicating if you would like Lyon Bleu International to find you accommodation.
International guests agree to comply with French administrative requirements (passport, visa, residence permit) and to be covered by personal insurance in the event of accident, illness or damage to property or persons. Supporting documents will be requested.
Allow approximately 50 to 60 days before the course start date
You may need a visa to come to France.
The general rule is:
– if you are staying for less than 3 months, you do not need a visa,
– if you are staying for more than 3 months, you need a visa.
Lyon Bleu International asks you to check with the French authorities about visa requirements before starting any registration and payment procedure.
Once the 10-day cooling-off period has elapsed and the deposit has been credited to our bank, we will send you, at your request, the PRE-REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE for your chosen course (this certificate is required by French visa authorities).

How to register
Pay for the program
Method of payment
- by bank transfer,
- by credit card (visa, eurocard, mastercard),
- in cash if you are able to come to our administrative office. (€1,000 maximum)
Please note that bank charges apply to all bank transfers!
Registration more than 30 days away
Payment for your course is made in two stages (see payment deadlines on the financial summary document):
1- Within 7 days of receiving our registration confirmation, you must pay the deposit mentioned on the financial summary sent to you by email. (calculation = 30% of total course price + enrolment fee + accommodation administration fee if requested + advance on rent for accommodation with a family if necessary)
- On receipt of your first payment, we will send you a confirmation of deposit with a request for the balance: it is this first payment that confirms your registration.
2- The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of your course.
- On receipt of the balance, we will send you confirmation of payment: this final payment definitively validates your registration for Lyon Bleu.
If you wish, you can also choose to pay the full price (deposit + balance) in a single instalment.
Registration within 30 days
The full amount must be paid within 48 hours of receipt of our confirmation.
- On receipt of payment, we will send you confirmation of the balance, which definitively validates your registration for Lyon Bleu.
Registration within 10 days
The full amount must be paid within 24 hours of receipt of our confirmation.
- On receipt of payment, we will send you confirmation of the balance, which definitively* validates your registration for Lyon Bleu.
* For all registrations submitted within 10 days, you hereby waive your right of withdrawal.

By confirming their participation in the reserved program, students acknowledge that they have read and understood our rules and regulations.
Student space
To help you prepare for your stay, we recommend that you visit our online student area, where you can access password-protected information reserved exclusively for registered students.

French language assessment
To ensure optimum learning conditions, it’s very important to take the written placement test as early as possible.
When you register, you’ll receive your unique link to take this online test.
The results of this test will enable our teaching team to confirm that the enrolment is compatible with the assessed level (type of course, duration…) and to reserve a place in the group adapted to the student’s level.
Watch out! Please note that there are specific start dates for beginners’ programs and special programs. Please refer to the corresponding detailed program description if necessary.
The first day at Lyon Bleu
General information
Please arrive at Lyon Bleu International (82, rue Duguesclin, 69006 LYON) on the first day of your course.
A week before the start of your program, you’ll receive instructions on how to prepare for your arrival, including the time of your appointment at Lyon Bleu.
Hardware
Teaching materials are provided by Lyon Bleu and included in the price of your programme.
We ask you to bring a notebook, pen, laptop (or tablet, or at least a smartphone). Course materials are available on an online platform.
Group courses
The week before your arrival, our teaching team will send you the standard schedule corresponding to the program you have chosen.
As soon as you arrive, you’ll be given a presentation of the school and the activities on offer.
Individual classes
The week before your arrival, our team will send you a detailed timetable indicating the time you should arrive for your first lesson.
Apartments reserved by Lyon Bleu
Terms and conditions
If you have requested an accommodation reservation through Lyon Bleu, you will receive detailed information once your registration has been validated, i.e. once your payment has been received.
Host family
Important: arrivals are usually on Sunday and departures on Saturday. Additional nights are payable and subject to availability.

You will receive a detailed email containing information about your host family, as well as instructions on how to contact them.
Studio in residence
Each of our partner residences has its own rules and regulations, which you can find on our Accommodation page.
You will receive a specific email for booking confirmation and payment details.
Transferts Taxis
Lyon Bleu can book a cab from the airport to your accommodation for €90.
Please let us know if you would like to add this service to your booking, and let us know the details of your arrival in Lyon so that we can make the reservation.
(When staying with a host family, we remind you that a transfer is provided and organized by the host family from the city center (train station, for example) to the family’s home).
Apply for a visa
Terms and conditions
We remind you that by validating your registration, you declare to be informed of the conditions necessary to obtain a visa before starting the registration procedure or making any payment to Lyon Bleu International.
Before confirming your enrolment, please refer to Lyon Bleu’s procedure for students applying for a visa to enter France, as detailed in our internal regulations.
Please let us know if you need to apply for a visa to enter France and need to receive a document from Lyon Bleu to apply.
Certificate of registration
The registration certificate, also known as the letter of acceptance, is issued after receipt of the deposit.
Exam DELF - DALF - TCF
Registration managed by Lyon Bleu
Lyon Bleu International is an examination center for the TCF only.
For DELF/DALF: We partner with the ILCF examination center in Lyon.
For the DELF/DALF: Lyon Bleu can manage your exam registration: a processing fee will be charged in addition to the exam fee.

How to register
Please note that booking fees and exam fees are non-refundable, once the registration has been completed by Lyon Bleu.
Applications will be processed according to the ILCF’s schedule and procedures. We will send you a confirmation and invitation to the exam as soon as the application has been processed by the ILCF. For more information, please visit www.ilcf.net.
Welcoming a minor student
Conditions
Lyon Bleu can exceptionally accept students aged 16 and over, provided they are mature enough to behave appropriately and integrate into a group of adults.
Students under 18 must be informed that they will be in class with adults of different ages (18 to 50 and over).
Administrative formalities
For underage students staying with host families, a specific procedure will be applied, involving an official declaration signed by the parents and the student.
Our parental authorisation form is compulsory: parents must set an appropriate curfew, which will be communicated to the host family and strictly enforced(see page 16 of the homestay guide).
