About the Diploma French programme…
The long-term 24 or 36 week programme is an intensive general French course which starts in January or September of each year, just like a university semester.
At our French language school in Lyon, in international classes with a maximum of 14 students per class for better progress, this long-term French programme has been designed primarily to meet the needs of students preparing for higher education in France.
It also meets the needs of a GAP YEAR project for students or professionals who want to spend 6 months to a year in France to achieve an advanced level of French and be able to make the most of a linguistic and cultural immersion experience in France.
After a written and oral assessment, students are assigned to a group corresponding to their initial level and progress to higher levels as the weeks go by.
The 24 or 36 week long-term French course is accompanied by regular support from the teaching department, so that each student enrolled on this programme receives personalised assistance.
Details of the long-stay French programme:
- a DELF or DALF diploma, ideally taken before the end of the course.
- access to a dedicated platform for preparing for the Delf and Dalf exams is also included in the programme

From a linguistic point of view, intensive French courses prepare students to develop general oral, written and grammatical language skills. For more specialised preparation, you can study for your exam on your own using the exam preparation platform included in your programme. You can also take part in exam preparation courses run by Lyon Bleu International in collaboration with the other French language centres in the KLF group. It is also possible to add individual preparation by purchasing packages of private lessons to work on your individual goals.
Lyon Bleu International is a French language school with the “Qualité FLE” accreditation and is a member of Campus France, which means it is officially recognised by the consular services that issue visas. By signing up for a long-stay programme at our school, you can apply for a VLS-TS visa from the consular services in your country.
Lyon Bleu International provides a digital environment based on the Google suite and Google Classroom. Course materials are therefore online and accessible at all times, both in and out of class. The teachers provide custom material for their classes, so there are no textbooks to buy.
